Through the window I stare
Thinking to myself how could you dare
Seeming to push yourself away
Maybe it is just me thinking of you as a stray
Reluctant to believe everything will fall into place
So many times before I have been disgraced
Signs of wanting what I believe is my fate
Please don't end up as the usual dead end state
Unsure and scared of where I might be
This is why I have stayed alone and too scared to be set free
Trying to spread my wings off to the sky
As you sit and wait will you let me pass you by
Will you catch my tears as I cry
Sitting alone I wait to see if I can fly
Break me down and come inside
