Ignorance

Is ignorance really bliss? How is it that people are immune to what is going on around them? How is it that an adult can go through their daily routine without picking up the paper or watching the news? Only paying attention when something drastic happens. Ignoring the fact that every day soldiers are sacrificing their lives for our freedom. Why do they vote, because mom and dad like a candidate so they automatically do too? Would it kill them to pick up a paper and read up on the next President so they can see what their future could entail? Now a day you can't even hold an intelligent conversation with someone because the only thing that they want to talk about is American Idol or who got kicked off Survivor. Unreal that these are pressing issues in some peoples lives when there is war all around us.
